Robe River to Barradale Rest Area.

We camped on the river bank under a canopy of Snappy Gums which have white trunks patterned with ant tracks and old injuries. We were grateful for their shade and the beauty of their leaves shimmering in the sunlight. The river there is dry and sandy so there were not as many birds as the previous night. Again we had the company of familiar faces following the same route as we are. The night breeze had a touch of freshness to it, reminding us that we are heading south.
